Sergio Armani and Sergio Galeotti
Giorgio Armani S.p.A. was founded in 1975 in Milan by Giorgio Armani and Sergio Galeotti, two of the world's outstanding fashion designers and future trendsetters. The first collections were exhibited in October of that year. Armani designer clothes have often been featured prominently in numerous blockbuster movies. The fashion designer has been the leading costume designer for over 100 motion pictures such as Pretty Woman, The Untouchables, American Gigolo, The Social Network, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Wolf of Wall Street, and many more. By the end of the 20th century, the Armani empire had become one of the largest in the fashion industry. As a result, numerous movie stars and celebrities prefer the products of this iconic global fashion brand.
Venice Film Festival (Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia) covers celebration of cinema, creativity, and great prospects. For the fourth year consecutively, Armani Beauty has been named the General Partner of the Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia. In 2021, it was held from 1st to 11th September.
In honor of ARMANI Beauty, a special Audience Award was also organized in the Orizzonti Extra program within the framework of the film festival - an offshoot of the competition section devoted to emerging trends in the world of cinema. The Armani Beauty Audience Award winner was the film "The Blind Man Who Did Not Want to See Titanic" by Finnish director Teemu Nikki. Additionally, as an official beauty partner, the company provided professional make-up services to guests and participants of Biennale di Cinema, as well as celebrities walking along the red carpet.
Armani Beauty organized an exclusive dinner in honor of the cinema and the new long-wear satin lipstick LIP POWER. The Armani Fashion House gathered delightfully gorgeous people to commemorate the union of cinema and beauty. Cate Blanchett, Barbara Palvin, Greta Ferro, Tina Kunakey, Madisin Rian, Isabelle Huppert, and a slew of other beautiful ladies, as well as actor Chase Stokes, were perfectly captured by award-winning photographer Greg Williams.
One of the invited celebrities was Laura Haddock – a famous English actress. She has been featured in the films: Transformers: The Last Knight, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Netflix series White Lines, Da Vinci's Demons, How Not to Live Your Life, and many others.
Laura Haddock's preparations for the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival and the presentation of the new LIP POWER lipstick were filmed in one of the most stunning places in Venice – the private island of San Clemente, as well as on the boat and the surrounding area.
In the video, Laura chooses products from Armani Beauty and narrates her make-up process. The actress is inspired by old Hollywood and tells us about the most authentic form of self-expression – through beauty and fashion.

The pre-production process took one day – logistics from Milan to Venice, recce on the private island of San Clemente, careful installation and setup of equipment and lighting in the stunning San Clemente Suite, and preparation for the next day.

Approach
Location scouting, recce and logistics of a large amount of equipment were carried out. The shooting took place in several significant locations on a private island and on a boat. However, the protagonist's tale about her experience with Armani Beauty cosmetics and her emotions while preparing for the Venice Film Festival takes precedence.

More than 2 TB of footage was filmed, the video was presented on Armani's social media channel, Armani Beauty, and in Harper's Bazaar's online magazine. Laura Haddock's sincerity, combined with her advice and openness, contributed to creating an emotional and engaging video for a broad audience.
Effectiveness
A new lipstick, LIP POWER, was presented. There was a rapid growth in sales, coverage, and audience engagement. Armani, a global brand, has further strengthened its ties to cinema by supporting the Venice Film Festival and the arts.
